WEEKLY UPDATE - Monday May 26th
Tonight’s games were intense nail-biters, featuring three goals scored within two minutes. The night included one shutout and one dominant win. Goaltenders played exceptionally well and had a major impact on the outcomes. Now, on to the recaps.
RECAPS
Redline vs Morning Wood
This was a low-scoring game with a quiet scoreboard. RL struck first, scoring in the opening minute. MW responded with two late goals in the first half to lead 2-1 at the break. An early second-period goal sealed the 3-1 win for MW, with Eric Campbell contributing two points.

The Northmen vs Sacred Blue
The first period was a scoreless battle with end-to-end action. Tyler Chapman opened the second by scoring off the faceoff, putting TN up 1-0. TN extended their lead to 2-0, but SB fought back to make it 2-1. Despite a strong push from SB in the final minutes, TN held on for the 2-1 win.

The Spitting Llamas vs Fumbuckers
This game was tightly contested from start to finish, with a 1-1 tie after the first period. FM regained the lead in the second, but TSL quickly answered to tie it again. FB went ahead 3-2 on a late powerplay goal, only for TSL to tie it once more in the final minutes and force a shootout. After three rounds, Matt Villeneuve sealed the 4-3 win for TSL as the shootout hero

Wang Gang vs Vikings
This game was one-sided from the start, with WG scoring three quick goals. VKG got on the board midway through the first, but WG responded with three more, including a hat trick from Nat Grenon. The second period followed the same pattern, as WG added four unanswered goals. WG cruised to a dominant 10-2 victory.

Calgary Hitmen vs Parking Lot Boys
This game was a thrilling comeback. CH jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, but PLB scored in the final minute of the first to make it 2-1. After trading goals early in the second, CH went up 4-2, but PLB fought back, tying it with a powerplay goal. In the final minutes, after a big save by LO, Karter Dube found the loose ball and scored the game-winner, giving PLB a hard-fought 5-4 victory.

The night kicked off with a nail-biting shutout, showcasing outstanding goaltending from both sides. As the evening continued, the tone shifted with several one-sided matchups, including a game that saw a staggering 28-shot difference. These blowouts provided a dramatic contrast to the intense start. Toward the end of the night, the excitement returned with a thrilling second-half comeback. The action concluded with a decisive empty-net goal that sealed the final win.

Calgary Hitmen vs Vikings
CH opened the scoring 1-0 with a goal from Daniyal Gondal. VKG responded late in the first half, tying the game 1-1 on a power play with five minutes remaining. In the second half, CH regained the lead with a power-play goal of their own. With just three minutes left, VKG tied it again thanks to a goal from Skyler Traversy. The game went to a shootout, where VKG scored the winner and claimed a 3-2 victory.

However, OBB remained dominant, adding two more goals and securing a 6-1 victory.

GNM started off strong by opening the scoring early in the game. Joey Motta added a power-play goal to give GNM a 2-0 lead. SS responded with energy, scoring two quick goals to tie the game 2-2 going into halftime. In the second half, SS took full control, with Spencer Brunet playing a key role in three of their four goals. GNM was shut down offensively in the second half, and SS came away with a dominant 6-2 victory.

Parking Lot Boys vs Sacred Blue
SB dominated PLB in the first half with relentless pressure. Eric Beaulne led the way for SB, collecting three points. By halftime, SB had built a commanding 5-0 lead. The second half saw fewer goals, with SB adding one early to make it 6-0. PLB managed to break the shutout with a late power-play goal, but SB secured a convincing 6-1 win.

This was a physical game from start to finish. JTI opened the scoring midway through the first period, but BOG responded with a power-play goal in the final minute to tie it 1-1 at the break. BOG then took their first lead in the second half with a goal from Carter Vollett. Tom Matthews quickly answered for JTI, tying the game at 2, and just a minute later, JTI regained the lead with a crucial go-ahead goal. JTI sealed the win with an empty-netter, taking the game 4-2.
