On this final Wednesday, we had two B Semifinals, one A Semifinal along with both the A and B Finals. The games did not disappoint with 3 games being decided by 3 goals or less including both Finals being decided by 1-2 goals respectively. All the higher seeds came out victorious except for GameZetera who took out both the top two seeds in the A division.

B - Backdoor Pucks 9 (6) vs Blackwater (4)
The first B semifinals of the night featuring, Backdoor Pucks 9 vs Blackwater. BDP would waste no time to get on the board as Will Dodds would win the opening faceoff and Richard Selkirk would blast it in the back of the net to give his team an early 1-0 lead. Blackwaters captain Mathieu Trepanier would respond shortly after with a beautiful wrap around goal to even the score at 1-1. Mathieu Trepanier would add another goal minutes later picking up the rebound from the point shot giving his team a 2-1 lead. Blackwaters Cole Dashnay would continue to add to the scoring with a great point shot to give his team the 2-goal lead. Blackwater would continue pressing as Mike Racioppo and Cole Dashnay would add 2 more to their lead giving them a 5-1 lead. Mathieu Trepanier would complete the hat trick with a snipe from the slot 6-1 BW. Jon Bertrand would add another for blackwater making the score of the game 7-1 BW. JC Alfieri would finally get on the board for Backdoor Pucks 9. Mathieu Trepanier would not let the momentum change as he would respond seconds later, scoring his fourth goal of the game. Cole Dashnay and Mike Racioppo would add 2 more for Blackwater, 10-2 BW. Mike Racioppo would complete his hat trick. Blackwater take the victory 11-3 and move onto the finals.

B – Cyclones (7) vs Tsunamis (1)
The second B semifinals game, Cyclones vs Tsunamis. Ken Wardroper would open the scoring late in first period with a great shot in the slot giving his team the 1-0 lead. Good back and forth action in the first, even more solid goaltending from both goalies in the first. Teddy Markey would take advantage of a turnover and put one in the back of the net to give Tsunamis a 2-0 lead. Corey Savoie would put the rebound from the point in the net making it 3-0 Tsunamis. Nik Lust would get Cyclones on the board with a cannon from the point, cutting the lead down to 2 goals. Bassam Azzi would give Tsunamis back the 3-goal lead with a great rebound goal. Tsunamis would take the victory 4-1 and move onto the finals.

A – GameZetera (3) vs Healthy Scratches (2)
A semifinals game, winner takes on Lumberjack in finals. David Disano would open the scoring for Healthy Scratches, getting a beautiful pass off the draw to put it in the back of the net, 1-0 HS. Jeff Levey would respond shortly after with a great shot in the slot tying up the game at 1. Jody Kingsbury would tip in the point shot late in the first to give GameZetera the 2-1 lead. Shawn Manion would finish off the first period with a cannon from the point giving GameZetera a 3-1 lead to end the period. Healthy Scratches would waste no time in the second as minutes in, Zachary Thomas would fire the one timer in the back of the net cutting the lead down to 1. Jason Murfitt and Shawn Manion would waste no time in responding as they would each score one back-to-back to put GameZetera back up by 3, 5-2 GZ. Mitchell Lowe would put the rebound in from the point shot cutting the lead to 2. Seconds later Shawn Manion would respond with a quick snipe from the slot, completing the hat trick and giving his team once again the 3-goal lead, making the score 6-3 GZ. Nolan Marshall would add another for GameZetera, 7-3. GameZetera would take the victory 7-3 and face Lumberjacks in the finals.

B FINAL – Blackwater (4) vs Tsunamis (1)
B finals featuring Blackwater vs Tsunamis. Chris Jaja would open the scoring minutes in with a great slapshot from the point giving his team the early 1-0 lead in the game. Minutes later, Ken Wardroper would find the rebound in front of the net giving Tsunamis the 2-0 lead. Great goaltending for both team as this game would be a tight one going into the second period. Mathieu Trepanier would get his team on the board early in the second with a shot from the point, cutting the lead by 1. Fred Jaja would storm out of his zone, deking the 2 defenders and sniping one top corner to give Tsunamis the 3-1 lead. Seconds later Cole Dashnay would score from the slot, cutting the lead back down to 1 goal difference making it 3-2 for Tsunamis. John Bertrand would respond minutes later with a rebound goal tying up the game 3-3 later in the second. Chris Jaja would score a beautiful one timer goal to give Tsunamis the 4-3 lead late in the second. Tsunamis would take the victory with a 4-3 score winning the B division.

A FINAL – GameZetera (3) vs Lumberjacks (1)
A Finals featuring GameZetera vs Lumberjacks. Early in the first Shawn Manion would open the scoring, deking the defencemen and tucking it in the back of the net to give his team a 1-0 lead. Seconds later Jody Kingsbury would snipe one from the slot to make it 2-0 early on. Bradley McCarter would take no time to respond and try and give his team some life snipping one in the back of the net cutting the lead by 1 goal. Jake Daigle would snipe one later in the first period tying the game up at 2-2. Nathan Rehner would give him team the 3-2 lead, grabbing the rebound and putting it to corner. Shawn Manion would snipe one top corner to tie the game up at 3-3. Brent Stewart one score one from the faceoff seconds later to give put his team back up by 1 making it 4-3 Lumberjacks. Nathan Rehner would add another quick goal for Lumberjacks giving them a 2-goal lead. Jody Kingsbury would add another one with a beautiful redirect to cut the lead by 1 making it 5-4 for Lumberjacks. Jody Kingsbury would complete the hat trick and tie up the game late in the second. Paul Chahal would give his team the lead with 2 minutes left in the second. Shawn Manion would complete his hat trick giving his team the 2-goal lead, making it 7-5 GameZetera. Brent Stewart would score a quick one in the dying minutes to cut the lead by 1 and try and push for a comeback, but it wouldn’t be enough as GameZetera would take the 8-6 victory and winning the A division.
