Women's Tourney - April 21st, 2012, Béatrice-Desloges

First ever women's tourney was bitter sweet. Participation was harder to find, however, the teams that played were all talented which made for some good games. The finals featured Storm VS Red Army. In the round robin these teams met up and Storm took the game 3-0, so we knew Red Army were looking for revenge. Storm led 1-0 for most of the game until Red Army managed to get one by stellar Storm goalie Lise Leduc. This game would need some overtime, and that's when the action happened. Red Army seem to have scored in overtime. Ref called it a goal, however, upon further review, reversed his call as the ball went through a hole and not directly in the net. Various people have different opinions on what happened, however, the game went on, and murphy's law had it so Storm would score just minutes later to become the first ever HTBHL Tournament Women's Champions. Controversial call or not, good tourney all around.
