HTBHL - Kids Ball Hockey Sessions - Summer 2022
New this year: We are offering spots for parents to play with their kids. See more below!
Good news! We’ve secured the outdoor covered rink by Canterbury for Kids Ball Hockey! The rink is a big surface with boards, glass, benches and all. We guarantee they will be tired!
We’re hosting ball hockey games (10 minute warm-up, 45 minute games!) for kids and parents! Basically, it’s organized shinny in a hockey purposed facility without having cars drive through the game! No drills, No practices, just play time!
Teams will be created randomly each week! You throw your stick in the middle and we separate them to form teams! Our game manager can tweak the teams to ensure parity.
All sessions are Sunday’s.
Times will depend on registration numbers and age groups, however, once confirmed, your game time will be consistent throughout the summer and always start at 3pm, 4pm or 5pm.
Sessions will be held on:
June 19, 26
July: 10, 17, 24
August: 7, 14, 21, 28
*Kids between the ages of 7 and 14 years old
**Parents and Me - That’s right! You can play with your child – All ages welcomed. Adults, don’t forget, this is for fun! 😊 – Kids/Parents are guaranteed to play on the same team!
Goalies are welcomed as well – Just let us know when registering.
*Kids 6 and under or 15 and older can register if their skill level allows them to fit within the group
**Parents can be any adult – uncle, neighbour, mailman, etc.
Jim Tubman Chevrolet Rink - 2185 Arch Street
What do I need?
Kids require running shoes a hockey stick, shin pads, gloves and a helmet with a face covering (full cage or visor).
Parents are adults – we can’t force you to wear anything… actually, clothes is a must! We can’t force equipment on you but you do need a stick and we strongly recommend the same equipment as the kids since accidental things do happen!
Since teams are created weekly, everyone needs to bring a black and a white T-shirt. Please bring both in your bag each week. No grey please!
Although some of your kids are probably stars in the making and will earn an NHL someday, for now, there is still a fee, for both kids and parents. Cost is $70 per participant.
